My husband is a general contractor. He builds things. His company is New Leaf Construction, Inc. and they built this house. I think it's beautiful and the setting is really peaceful and surrounded by water and marshland - in the middle of Queen's Harbor Country Club!

I was able to photograph this home a while ago. Shortly afterwards, it went under contract. Unfortunately, the way things sometimes go, the potential buyers were unable to secure their financing and this beautiful home is on the market once again.

Just minutes from the beach and boating, steps from golf and country club living, and situated in one of Jacksonville's most prestigious neighborhoods, this house in Providence Island is a homeowner's dream! It is listed as having 6 bedrooms, but that does not really do it justice. This home has 1 master suite downstairs, 1 master suite upstairs, 3 more bedrooms upstairs - but I would use at least one as an office, another full bath upstairs, a gorgeous open kitchen/dining/living room with another sitting room off the front door that could be a library or downstairs office all with its own half bath. This house has windows galore to let in the wonderful light we all crave. It's prewired for sound and has a whole house vacuum in place. The best room, in my opinion, is the "casita" above the garage. This room can be a mother-in-law suite, a garage apartment for a college student, an art studio or homeowners getaway - it has the best view of the marshland from the double doors leading to a small balcony. Set up your telescope and watch the wildlife or gaze at the stars.

Since I took these photos, the casita has had a little makeover...it now has a small kitchen area complete with custom cabinetry, sink and refrigerator! It is its own space! I'm sure I'll get photos of that shortly...
